https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D215121 Bug ID: 215121 Summary: sysutils/syslog-ng37 Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: cy@FreeBSD.org Reporter: dfranzoni@coopcsc.it Flags: maintainer-feedback?(cy@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: cy@FreeBSD.org Hi, I have tested the syslog-ng on my pfSense firewall to sending logs to in cl= oud logs repository systems (Loggly and LogEntries)and I noticed these things: 1) in the web GUI "general" settings allow only to setup local disk file destination. And this is not a problem if... (look numer 2 and 3) 2) the "advanced" settings not allow all the configuration parameters allow= ed by syslog-ng guide. If I compose a "destination" configurazione within the template the GUI show an error. The configuration is correct because I have successfully tested with manual configuration of the "syslog-ng.conf" but t= he web GUI not allow it. 3) with the "advanced" settings I noticed that it create the configuration = file "syslog-ng.conf" with configuration order as the GUI items order. And this = is not correct and I can't modify the GUI items order. In fact if I add a seco= nd "destination" with a "template" item the generated "syslog-ng.conf" must to have the "template" configuration before "destination" configuration. But w= ith web GUI I can't have it. With manual modification of the "syslog-ng.conf" file all work correcty but= I can't start the service by web GUI. I tested the configuration with "syslog-ng -Fevd" command and all work righ. Thank you for your help and if I can help you I am at your disposition.
