AFAIK, nameservers are required to have forward *and* reverse DNS
set up properly...

ns1.astranet.lv has address 62.85.45.34
jedgar@sushi:~$ host 62.85.45.34
Host not found.
jedgar@sushi:~$=20

=2E..which explains why nslookup refuses to use your nameserver.
