The reconfiguration fails on "make" with a signal 11. I have installed FreeBSD 4.2-RELEASE from version that is available in the ISO section of the FTP site. I installed using the Standard Installation and chose the option that would copy the source. However, I can't compile the kernel. I should elaborate, I have also attempted to compile the GENERIC kernel which fails. According to the handbook, I could have downloaded a version that was problematic, is that possible with the ISO release version? Does anyone have a suggestion for me? I would greatly appreciate any help! In the meantime I will try to update the source. Thank you for your time.
