These 2 programs were written by Ben Smithurst, not myself. As Dan pointed out the fonts are uuencoded, so (substitute your font for iso-8x16): # cd /usr/share/syscons/fonts # uudecode iso-8x16.fnt which writes it out as iso-8x16 (no .fnt extension), then: # fontdump iso-8x16 > iso-8x16.txt iso-8x16.txt contains the characters represented like this: - Y ---- ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## #### ## ## ## ## #### -------- - Z ---- ######## ## ## # ## ## ## ## ## ## # ## ## ######## -------- so you can edit the #'s to modify or create new characters, then: # fontmake iso-8x16.txt > iso-8x16 # uuencode iso-8x16 iso-8x16 > iso8x16.fnt HTH > -- > Dan Nelson > dnelson@emsphone.com > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message -- If I buy a copy of WinDelete, and it doesn't delete Windows, am I entitled to my money back? ________________________________________________________________ FreeBSD - The Power To Serve http://www.freebsd.org My Webpage http://ukug.uk.freebsd.org/~mark/ mailto:mark@ukug.uk.freebsd.org http://www.radan.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
