=BB Definately not the cleanest/best.  What's wrong with -HUP.

=BB -KILL [aka -9] give no chance for proper file closure and cleanup.

When you kill -HUP a csh, it just remains. Nothing happens. You have
to kill -9 it to get rid of it. Just try.
