You can tell that these guys have been around the traps, and have a pretty good idea what it's all about. Some parts are a little Vax-centric and smug, but in context, that's quite forgivable 8) > Title: "The Magic Garden Explained" This book is _very_ frustrating. Aside from the inconsistencies in formatting and syntax, it wanders all over the place, varying from intense and detailed to frustratingly vague. I've never been able to get a good flow up reading it 8(. Having said that, it _does_ contain an awful lot of very interesting information, and I've learnt a lot from it. (Being Tandem employees, some of the low-level discussion is around the MIPS R3000 architecture, which isn't as much fun as the Vax 8) > Terry Lambert -- ]] Mike Smith, Software Engineer msmith@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] Genesis Software genesis@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] High-speed data acquisition and [[ ]] realtime instrument control (ph/fax) +61-8-267-3039 [[ ]] My car has "demand start" -Terry Lambert UNIX: live FreeBSD or die!
