This is from the handbook, section 5.2, on FreeBSD.org ... "Note: If there is not a /usr/src/sys directory on your system, then the kernel source has not been been installed. Follow the instructions for installing packages to add this package to your system. " There is no "src" in the packages directory at ftp://ftp4.FreeBSD.ORG/pub/FreeBSD/2.2.7-RELEASE/packages/ !!! So, they must mean use /stand/sysinstall ?? When I do use that it, attempting to install /freebsd/src from a dos partition, sysinstall ends up saying something like: "Hmmm... you are not installing /bin, therefore you suck and I hate you" or whatever, and won't install a darn thing. I cannot install source, man or diddly squat on top of a minimum install. What am I doing wrong? Lest there be any doubt what I am talking about, it looks like this: Volume in drive C is WIN95 Volume Serial Number is 2D62-1800 Directory of C:\FREEBSD\src . <DIR> 10-31-98 8:13p . .. <DIR> 10-31-98 8:13p ..
