It's old, but reasonably fast. This is the result from running Bytebench 3.1 (for what that's worth, which I realize is not much unless comparing with identical hardware across OS versions) but all the results look pretty good. The kernel does not have debugging hooks in it, and the benchmarks were run in a konsole window under KDE 3.2.2, so there is still a bit more speed that can be eked out. The disk performance is the fastest I've seen out of the old full height 5 1/4" hardware. The only things I still have to figure out before migrating my 4.10 box to 5.2 are vinum and samba.
