https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D267743 Bug ID: 267743 Summary: audio/mixertui: binary location Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: jbo@insane.engineer During a lazy Sunday afternoon I noticed that the mixertui binary provided = by audio/mixertui gets installed in $LOCALBASE/sbin rather than $LOCALBASE/bin. As I understand, /sbin is mainly "reserved" for system administration utili= ties which are of little use to a non-root user. However, at least to me persona= lly, it seems that something like audio/mixertool is very useful to a non-root. Is /sbin as the destination for audio/mixertui within the philosophy of FreeBSD? --- Comment #1 from Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org> --- Maintainer informed via mail --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
