First, such questions have a better chance of being answered in the freebsd-questions mailing list. The freebsd-doc mailing list is meant for people creating freebsd documentation. That said, lets try answer your question: 1. Did you download it in `binary' mode using FTP? `ascii' mode wont work. 2. Did you use `rawrite' under DOS or `dd' under UNIX to get the image onto the floppy? Plain `copy' under DOS won't work. 3. Did you use a good floppy without any bad sectors?
