The following reply was made to PR ports/70006; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Christopher Nehren <apeiron@comcast.net> To: Ulrich Spoerlein <q@uni.de> Cc: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@freebsd.org Subject: Re: ports/70006: games/quake2forge fails to build on 5.2.1, maybe elsewhere Date: Tue, 10 Aug 2004 09:43:03 -0400 --dDRMvlgZJXvWKvBx Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On Thu, Aug 05, 2004 at 10:16:17 EDT, Ulrich Spoerlein scribbled these curious markings: > Since you didn't provide any output or error messages it is hard to > tell. But please try the updated Port here[1] and see if it helps. It wasn't hard for me to tell when it errored out. :) Interestingly (and paradoxically), it builds fine under the compiler in -CURRENT as of two nights ago. Since I'm still in the process of doing a portupgrade on my ports to fix everything with threading and the C++ ABI after having migrated to -CURRENT, I can't easily use make.conf with another=20 compiler to get the output that I got before or to test the patch. =20 > [1] http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=3D70029 I'll try this once my ports tree is settled. --=20 I abhor a system designed for the "user", if that word is a coded pejorative meaning "stupid and unsophisticated". -- Ken Thompson - Unix is user friendly. However, it isn't idiot friendly. --dDRMvlgZJXvWKvBx Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFBGNDmk/lo7zvzJioRAj2FAJ9jHJZWpnuKeL5wJRT7J2iWSgorggCdFHce uFie9Yf2lUmdfSRPwDaqkyU= =I8LV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --dDRMvlgZJXvWKvBx--
