Speaking of ejecting cdroms, what about closing the drive using software? Other OSes such as BeOs will close the door when the "play" button is pressed on the cd player, for example. Why doesn't FreeBSD have that? I've never seen it in Linux either, although it's been a while since I've used Linux.
