It's a _wery_ bad idea to run without termination!!
I got a LVD drive as a replacement for a failed drive. It had a jumper for
"term enable" according to the paper on top of the drive. It didnt work. I
got a ton of timeouts and other errors.
After installing a external active termination block it works like a
charm. This is on a Adaptec 2940UW
