https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D237712 Bug ID: 237712 Summary: lang/tcl87 improvements Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Keywords: easy, patch, patch-ready Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: tcltk@FreeBSD.org Reporter: mi@FreeBSD.org Assignee: tcltk@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(tcltk@FreeBSD.org) Created attachment 204168 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D204168&action= =3Dedit Do the needful The attached patch improves the port thus: . Do not even extract the compat/ subdirectory - to ensure, its content is = not used at compile time . Do not strip binaries, when DEBUG-option is set In addition, I'd also like to convert the port to using math/libtommath ins= tead of compiling its own version. However, I see some TomMath-related hunks in = the files/patch-unix_Makefile.in. Has anyone looked into using the tommath-port already -- as the [Porter's Handbook says](https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/porters-handbook/bu= ndled-libs.html) The same - or very similar can/should be done to lang/tcl86. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
