Try these: # chmod 777 /usr/X11R6/lib/phoenix/lib/mozilla-1.3a/chrome # chmod 777 /usr/X11R6/lib/phoenix/lib/mozilla-1.3a/chrome/* Once I fix the permissions on those directories, I'm able to install plugins fine.
