Where can i read 'bout such a program? Hi! man ntpd and ntp.conf there also is a section in the freebsd handbook, describing how to setup a ntp server. This is what you basically want, and what is in widespread use. Its simple, even I managed it within a few minutes. The only thing is to respect some niceness to the operators of public ntp servers, and only sync from stratum 2 or higher numbers... Or, if you only have a local client, that does not want to distribute his time to other servers, you simply need to type as root: ntpdate ntp.domain.tld thats all, and can be run via cron HTH Olaf -- Olaf Hoyer ohoyer@gaff.hhhr.ision.net Fuerchterliche Erlebniss geben zu raten, ob der, welcher sie erlebt, nicht etwas Fuerchterliches ist.
