The first one is F1/F2 prompt - than one let`s you to choose the 
drive and/or partition you want to boot from.

The second boot prompt allows you to choose the kernel to boot:
as I remember
 boot kernel - ordinary kernel
 boot kernel.GENERIC - generic kernel

 load ... - to load KLM
and so on
