But it's not really useful since login(1) doesn't create the same kind of session semantics as a display manager does. Therefore, it's more useful as a port than it is in the base system. The author already submitted a port[*], but I'll take care of it for you tomorrow (in case you can't tell, I've not had time lately due to final exams but the last one is tomorrow). Please spend your time on something else in the meantime.
