I've tested with xterm and mozilla. netscape, for example, requires specific settings for wheel. anyway, try moused -t jodgial -p /dev/jogdial -d -f if dz will be -1 or 1 when you roll jogdial, X has to work. what do you receive when you roll jogdial?
