Hello, I am running pythia# uname -a FreeBSD pythia.cs.vt.edu 4.3-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.3-RELEASE #0: Sat Apr 21 10:54:49 GMT 2001 jkh@narf.osd.bsdi.com:/usr/src/sys/compile/GENERIC i386 From the above it seems that the release date is prior to the 2001-07-23 telnetd correction data. However, when I install the telnetd patch, I get the following message: pythia# cd /usr/src/ pythia# patch -p < /tmp/telnetd.patch Hmm... Looks like a unified diff to me... The text leading up to this was: -------------------------- |Index: libexec/telnetd/ext.h |=================================================================== |RCS file: /home/ncvs/src/libexec/telnetd/ext.h,v |retrieving revision 1.8 |retrieving revision 1.10 |diff -u -r1.8 -r1.10 |--- libexec/telnetd/ext.h 2000/11/19 10:01:27 1.8 |+++ libexec/telnetd/ext.h 2001/07/23 22:00:51 1.10 -------------------------- File to patch: Is my system already patched or am I doing something wrong?
