Having just been through this you need to have working copies of the X
aout libraries to run netscape.  

This was for me pretty easy as I just ftp'ed them over from my STABLE
machine and now netscape runs.  Hopefully you'll be able to find a copy of
the aout libraries from X somewhere (hopefully other than installing the
X package from packages-current-aout.
