            Bug ID: 253188
Summary: databases/timescaledb: request to maintain port for
                    version 1.7.x for Postgres < 11 support
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: kbowling@freebsd.org

             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(kbowling@freebsd.org)

The current databases/timescaledb port has been updated to Timescale DB ver=
sion
2.0. That version only supports Postgres 11 & 12, but I still depend on
Postgres 9.6. I was hoping then the 2.0 port arrived it would be something =
like
databases/timescaledb2, or else the old port migrated to something like
databases/timescaledb1. I've never dealt with this type of package versioni=
ng
issue before, so didn't know the approach to take to get a new port added f=
or
TimescaleDB 1.7.4 (the last version that supported Postgres 9.6/10).
