Frankly, i can't remember and i can't be in front of the server until next week so i can't even take a look. I just can say that the number of blocks viewed by the FreeBSD installation program seemed correct with the disks sizes. > Which disk did you actually install to? There are 4 disks of 9Gbytes each. We chose "RAID 5" in the Mylex BIOS during the initialisation. We have created 2 logical disks with the Mylex BIOS : - one of ~ 5.5 Gb for the system. This logical disk was recognized by the FreeBSD installation program as "mlxd0" if i remember well. We installed FreeBSD on this logical disk. - one other of may be ~ 20 Gb. This logical disk was recognized by the FreeBSD installation program as "mlxd1" if i remember well. The FreeBSD installation program didn't modified this logical disk (we didn't even format this disk). > How many partitions did you > create while you were installing? > Four slices on the first logical disk (one for /, one for swap, one for /usr and one for /var). Obviously, no slices and no partitions on the second logical disk of ~ 20 Gb. > > We finally received these servers and tried to install a 4.0-release > > (CD-Rom version) on one.
