I am presently accessing the world through an @home cablemodem via a FreeBSD 2.2.8 machine, and natd. Works great. I have scrounged up an old 486 to take this machines place. I built 3.3-STABLE on it, and started trying to make a similar setup work. Unfortunately I can't seem to get as far as pinging the cabemodem providers gateway machine :-( I must be doing something dumbe here.
