For eg if I am ftp'ing file X and a script asynchronously tries to do some operation on it (untar it perhaps), is there a way I can not start the operation till the transfer is complete. I am using /bin/sh. Any help is appreciated. Kindly CC me as I am not on the list. br, vijay To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
