BSDI shared libraries are VERY different from FreeBSD, and BSDI seems to
increase this with every release. Not only do the shared libraries
contain different things, they are loaded and accessed differently.
Once BSDI and FreeBSD both use ELF this situation may improve.

A statically linked version would probably work.

There must be, as the FreeBSD one will not work on BSDI.
