I have tried 1) and 2), and still don't get it to work. Kernel > config is attached, and "vmstat -i" gives Sorry, I got late into this thread and lost your first post. 1st: when having this kind of kernel problems it is good practice to go back and try the GENERIC kernel configuration. Then we all know what you are talking about, once the problem is solved you can try to tune it. 2nd: kldload sound may not load the driver you need - now I didn't see your first post so I don't know if you identified the correct driver. Anyway, you can try the snd_ modules one by one. 3rd: Long ago, a common mistake was not to turn up the volume (yeah, I know it's silly). Try using mixer. Still out of luck? If you use the GENERIC kernel, then show us output of: # kldstat # sysctl -a|grep snd Hope this helps, Erik -- Ph: +34.666334818 web: www.locolomo.org S/MIME Certificate: www.daemonsecurity.com/ca/8D03551FFCE04F06.crt Subject ID: 9E:AA:18:E6:94:7A:91:44:0A:E4:DD:87:73:7F:4E:82:E7:08:9C:72 Fingerprint: 5B:D5:1E:3E:47:E7:EC:1C:4C:C8:3A:19:CC:AE:14:F5:DF:18:0F:B9
