We have a number of Dell PowerEdge 1950 SMP servers under a decent amount of load running FreeBSD 6.2-RC1. Every 1 to 2 days these servers drop their network connection and have to be rebooted to get it back. The errors we are seeing look like: Dec 15 08:14:03 kernel: bce0: /usr/src/sys/dev/bce/if_bce.c(5002): Watchdog timeout occurred, resetting! Dec 15 08:14:03 kernel: bce0: link state changed to DOWN Dec 15 08:14:05 kernel: bce0: link state changed to UP We see this a number of times before the interface actually dies. Here are the versions we are currently running: FreeBSD 6.2-RC1 #5: Tue Dec 12 16:10:33 EST 2006 src/sys/dev/bce/if_bce.c,v 1.2.2.6.2.1 2006/11/28 17:14:07 scottl I can provide any additional information if needed. We're hoping that we can resolve this soon as we have a number of additional 1950's on their way to us. Thanks. Adam Davenport dis@cluephone.net
