It only took about 2 months to learn that searching these mailing lists and reading other available info was *required* when tracking -STABLE. This is a work-in-progress OS, it's user's need to be able to adapt to changes such as this. I was new to unix when I first installed FreeBSD 2.1.5 when it was first released. It only took about 2 months to learn that searching these mailing lists and reading other available info was *required* when tracking -STABLE.

IMHO anyone planning on upgrading ***ANY*** operating system should look before leaping - or suffer whatever extra work which results. This is a work-in-progress OS, it's user's need to be able to adapt to changes such as this.
