My dmesg output is attached to this email as dmesg.txt. As far as I can tell, the kernel is compiled properly, and the necessary controllers initialize (uhci, etc.). I've also triple-checked my rc.conf and it's just as the Handbook indicates it should be. Finally, I've verified that the device node for ums0 exists. The problem is thus: When moused attempts to initialize, it returns the error: /dev/ums0: device not configured I get a nearly identical error when I cat /dev/ums0. Initially, both USB and my NIC were being assigned IRQ11, so I disabled BIOS IRQ assignment to USB. I can't see that it's made any difference, as the device messages have remained as they were. Any help will be greatly appreciated, -ELf ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ "Nonchalantly," said the poet, "For if you wear your gravity, you'll have nothing left to show." _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------=_NextPart_000_2fa0_2090_3899 Content-Type: text/plain; name="dmesg.txt"; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="dmesg.txt" Copyright (c) 1992-2001 The FreeBSD Project.
