I am unsure whether FreeBSD currently supports sound on machines with the i810 chipset. Old archived messages state no, but the same messages say that X cannot be supported due to lack of a driver for the i810 onboard video/sound. I am looking at a working kde desktop, so is sound available too? Do I need to compile my own kernel or what? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
