(And no, I can not > workaround with serial, since the 1U-server doesn't have any) The folks at apcupsd are in the middle of rolling a new version - to be tagged either 3.10.17 or 3.11, I'm a little unclear - which will include the beta (I would call it gamma) FreeBSD USB code. The code is actually there, and can probably be had from their CVS; what's holding up the formal release (and therefore the port) is getting the documentation in sync.
