Hello, I have a internal modem Rockwell 56 K connect on the com port 3 (Sio2). When i try to connect to my provider via kppp or pppd or ppp terminal, i still get an error. Serge /kernel : Sio2 : 1 more silo overflow. What is the problem here, i try since one week to connect , but failed with the same error. I look the FAQ's the online handbook and i have the complete FreeBSD handbook, but i still get now answer. I'm now online with linux, and the script i used here don't work under FreeBSD. I changed the script to set to FreeBSD, but when i try to connect, i got an error that say : chat script failed, but my modem never dial up. I have FreeBSD 2.2.8 and i like it much more than Linux, because it works much faster. So, if you can help me, i will very thankfull, so i can preserve my whole hard-disk to FreeBSD. I work (for the moment) on a stand-alone computer. When i can connect, then i shall figuerd out who i can setup a network with my other computers. Serge.
