Or is the daemon bit perhaps supplied by a separate flavour? Your conflicts are set up so that ultimately, transmission-default conflicts with itself. I'm not sure if this is a problem. You could fix this by e.g. using .for f in ${FLAVORS:Ndefault} $f_CONFLICTS_INSTALL=3D transmission-default .endfor default_CONFLICTS_INSTALL=3D ${FLAVORS:Ndefault:@f@transmission-$f@} I'll have to test this thoroughly.
