Maden" Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- This is more of a hardware question then strictly a FreeBSD one, but here goes: I have two IDE controllers on my motherboard. One is cabled to the two floppy drives, and the other to a CD-ROM drive and to the hard drive. I have another drive, and need the space. None of my IDE cables has more than two connectors on it, and I'm wondering if this is because of a limitation in IDE itself; is it safe to drive three devices from a single controller? If so, I can fix the cables myself (my EE degree is good for something), but I can't find any specs on whether or not that'll burn anything out.
