I installed some readhat some days ago, with KDE etc, on FBSD I have just twm. IMHO FBSD is much easier for a primitiv mind like mine. What convinced me that FBSD is "better" was PicoBSD. Maybe there are better one floppy Linux systems than what I tried, but PicoBSD was a real thing. My first Unix was Minix on a 1 or 2 MB partition on a 286...20MB harddrive. And a floppy on a XT.
