It depends on what you want to do with it. There were some problems in 4.6-release that affected 20%. I wasn't one of them. If you are going to install the iso and stay with it, wait until 4.6.2 is released. If you are going to install and then cvsup RELENG-4, it doesn't matter if you install 4.6.1 and upgrade, wait or not. Following RELENG_4_6 would also probably work just fine.
