The BIOS can't seem to find the MBR.  Does this disk have slices
(compatbility mode) or did you make it dedicated?

Just wanted to make sure.

Oh, shoot, that's right -- the 2940 does have big disk translation.
What's the status of the >1GB disk setting in the AIC7890's BIOS?  These
do need to match otherwise the BIOS will get confused.
