It is not necasary to install the whole distribution under the 1024 cylinder limit tho, only the root partition containing the kernel. > 3. It seems to me Linux might be an easier > route to go, at least as far as installation goes. well... whilst linux's installation procedure is rumoured (die hard never installed linuxer myself..) to be easier, The 1024 cylinder complex is not going to go away, being a pc bios problem, not a BSD one..
