The situation is corrected by installing an additional package: pkg install en-aspell # pkg info | grep mc mc-4.8.30_1 Midnight Commander, a free Norton Commander clone # pkg info | grep spell aspell-0.60.8.1,1 Spelling checker with better suggestion logic than ispell en-aspell-2020.12.07.0 Aspell English dictionaries --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
