Tobias, I completely disagree here, and I do not think i am alone. A mobile device, whether it be a laptop or a PDA, depends on an efficient and easy to use windowmanager (if a graphical interface going to be used at all). If I am wrong, and this list is *not* intended for people to share their experiences using FreeBSD on mobile devices, then I will concede and un-subscribe from this list. In the future, I would appreciate you keeping your opinions to the list and not sending them to me in a personal email. - Nick Jennings > Kind regards, t. > > > On Fri, Dec 13, 2002 at 03:34:30PM -0800, Nick Jennings wrote: > > Hi all, > > > > I got my Libretto 100ct about 6 months ago, linux didn't support my > > PC Card floppy (Toshiba), and I was lazy, so I just left winME on it > > until just recently I grew extremely fedup with how useless it was to > > me as a usefull system (and my hand was cramping using that screen mouse > > thing). > > > > FreeBSD saved the day, since it uses the BIOS calls to the floppy device > > for most of the installation, I was able to do an FTP install booting > > off the floppy install disks. > > > > Now I installed the X port, and am trying to find a windowmanager which > > will allow me to use the keyboard for all (or most) operations.
