I found a reference to it in a ML post: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-stable/2013-February/072464.html The machines have similar setups: gpt-partitioned and root-on-zfs, albeit different zpool versions. Let me know if there is more info, or something else, you need. In the worst case a "bisect" of the changes to the kernel from 9.2-RELEASE to 9.3-RELEASE should reveal it I guess.
