I just did this. It was scary, but the booteasy that was on the 2.2.6 CD worked fine. My move to FAT32 was "non-normal": I reformatted may DOS drive and so had to install win3.0 to upgrade to win95 to upgrade to win98 (I HATE that!) and then installed booteasy after the win98 install into a "fresh" bootblock.
