For what it's worth, I did not read any sarcasm in it either. While I am hardly a saint, I can tell that work in nursing homes is definitely not for everyone! Especially when working with Alzheimer's victims and the developmentally disabled. We take a lot of abuse from the people we care for. That said, I am sure Tim, as a psychiatric nurse, gets his share of abuse too. Back in my home country I was a clinical psychologist, so I can relate to Tim's work quite well.
