Worked like a charm - thank you. In my case I have two of these puppies and I got 4.1 installed without incident. This time I suspect I took a bad turn through the installation program because DOS fdisk showed one partition that that was no the active one. It has been my experience with these machines that once you get to this state sysinstall will not fix it.
