Did you check the MSP queue?
# mailq -Ac

The periodic scripts are run out of the system crontab /etc/crontab --
you should have lines like these:
1 3 * * * root periodic daily
15 4 * * 6 root periodic weekly
30 5 1 * * root periodic monthly
