Per, It should be possible, in that anything is possible given enough time and resources. However we use FreeBSD for its stability and security, so we want to use well-supported, able to be monitored, and reliable RAID controllers. Cost is much less of an issue, as compared to downtime. The MegaRAID controllers are unacceptable to us, given these requirements.
