Hi Sergey,

I have the same problem when usinf SLR 100 with Amanda, the very first
time I use a new tape (when putting Amanda label on the tape).

After doing mt offline, it does not happen anymore.

Beside, I am using FreeBSD 4.3, and with an eotmodel of 1,
fixed/variable block is default value.
