Just to clarify this, you don't _have_ to leave teh defaults file untouched. It's just good practice. The idea is that your overrides go into /etc/rc.conf, which is only every messed with by humans. When you upgrade your system or run mergemaster to update your configs, a virgin /etc/defaults/rc.conf saves you time. Ciao, Sheldon.
