One of the reasons is less certainty of integrity than async or
sync sync. This is probably not an issue for you.
Also, if you have limited space on an SU partition, you may have problems
with deleting a large number of files and immediately writing new stuff.
(This is mainly a problem on / partitons with SU when doing
installworlds. IMHO, running SU on / is Just Crazy.)
